Annual Activity Report
2023 marked significant milestones for PPA as the federation continued to grow the sport of padel across the country, with a focus on youth development, national competitions, international engagement and grassroots initiatives.

National tournaments
PPA hosted three National Padel Tournaments in 2023 (the 2nd, 3rd and 4th overall), with the 3rd introducing equal PHP 150,000 cash prizes for men’s and women’s champions. Full results on Competitions.
Youth development
A junior training program launched with the British School of Manila, integrating padel into the school’s PE curriculum. Over 100 students took part in its first year, with further school expansion planned for 2024.
Coaching and certification
Two coach certification programs were hosted in 2023, certifying 20 aspiring coaches to international standards.
International engagement
The Philippine national teams (men’s and women’s) were formed and entered international qualifying competition for the first time. PPA also hosted a tournament in the UAE for overseas Filipino workers in partnership with the Pinoy Padelistas community, engaging over 50 players.
Grassroots initiatives
“Padel Days” community events, run with local government partners, brought free access and introductory clinics to underserved communities. Over 500 new players took part in grassroots events in 2023.
Looking to 2024
The 2023 report set out plans to expand court infrastructure, extend the junior program to Domuschola International School and the International School of Manila, and host the country’s first-ever FIP tournament in November 2024.
