Who we are
Recognised by FIP as the governing body for padel
The Philippine Padel Association (PPA) is recognised by FIP as the federation for padel in the Philippines. We are a registered non-stock, non-profit association and the country’s member federation within the International Padel Federation (FIP), the world governing body for the sport, and are recognised within Padel Asia, the FIP’s continental confederation for the region.
Padel arrived in the Philippines as a social sport, and it grew fast. What the sport needed next was an institutional layer: a body to hold international membership, select the Philippine Padel Team, sanction ranked competition, and set standards for clubs and coaches.
PPA was formed to be that body, and to build it properly rather than quickly. The federation is run on a constitution and by-laws, holds its international membership in good standing, and operates the Philippine Padel Team and national calendar on published criteria.

Mission
Grow the sport and give Filipino players a route to the world
Grow participation among players and padel enthusiasts across the Philippines; develop coaches and officials; sanction competition that counts internationally; and represent the Philippines in the international padel structure. Club affiliation is open to any venue that wants in.

2020
A federation is born
The federation is established to serve as the governing body for padel in the Philippines.
2021
Made official
PPA is formally registered as a non-stock association under Philippine law, with a constitution and by-laws.
2022
Recognised, and the circuit begins
PPA is admitted as the Philippines’ member federation at the FIP General Assembly in Rome, and hosts its first National Padel Tournament that December.
2023
The circuit takes shape
Three more National Tournaments are held through the year, equal prize money is introduced for men’s and women’s champions, and PPA stages an Overseas Filipino padel tournament in the UAE with the Pinoy Padelistas community that December.
2024
The world arrives in Manila
FIP RISE Manila is staged — the country’s first FIP-sanctioned international tournament.
2025
A full international calendar
PPA sanctions FIP Bronze, FIP Silver and FIP Promises events in the Philippines.
2026
The next generation steps up
PPA sanctions FIP Silver and FIP Promises events in the Philippines. The Philippine Padel Team is set to compete at the FIP Junior Asia Padel Cup in November.
Position
One federation. One Philippines.
International sport recognises one federation per country, per sport. That body validates entries, allocates ranking points, and decides who is eligible for continental and world championships. There is no parallel path — a result built outside that structure does not count internationally.
PPA holds that membership for the Philippines. Any club, promoter or organisation building the sport is welcome to build it inside that structure, where their work and their athletes’ results actually count.
